Highly inspired by European film soundtracks from the 1960s and 1970s as well as experimental electronic music in general, Marcellus Lewis is also one-half of the duo Colortone Library (an Atlanta/Denver collaboration). Originally from Atlanta, he has been residing in Denver, CO off and on since 2002. From 2008-2010 Lewis relocated to Prague, CZ, where he published music for film and television and released an album under the project name Microholiday. His music has found an audience particularly in Europe and has been featured on several Czech television stations and on Radio Free Europe. Lewis’s songs have also achieved radio airplay in Ireland, South Korea, and on various college stations in the US. Constantly seeking unique textures of sound, Lewis merges lo fi samples with high quality recorded parts in a meticulous mixing process. His most recent release, the LP Intentions of a Haunting, is the first release under his own name.
